Bill Baldwin
Bill (Merl. W, Jr.) Baldwin (June 6, 1935 – October 14, 2015) was an American science fiction writer. He wrote militaristic space opera. His main series is about a male protagonist named Wilf Ansor Brim. He graduated from The Mercersburg Academy and the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned a B.A. in Journalism and a Master of Letters degree. He served as a lieutenant at the U.S. Air Force Missile Test Center. He worked at NASA at Cape Canaveral, Florida supporting Project Mercury as Chief of the Reports Division. Later, Baldwin served as a contractor for the NASA Manned Spacecraft Center. He was the president of the Wooden Boat Association of north Texas. He was also the managing editor of the magazine ''The Brass Bell'' of the Chris-Craft Antique Boat Club. He and others helped create the Lawson Boating Heritage Center on Chautauqua Lake, Bemus Point, New York. Pierre Clostermann
Pierre Henri Clostermann (28 February 1921 – 22 March 2006) was a World War II French fighter pilot. During the conflict he achieved 33 air-to-air combat victories, earning the accolade "France's First Fighter" from General Charles de Gaulle. His wartime memoir, ''The Big Show (Le Grand Cirque)'' became a notable bestseller. After the war, he worked as an engineer and was the youngest Member of France's Parliament. Early life Clostermann was born in Curitiba, Brazil, into a French diplomatic family. He was the only son of Madeleine Carlier from Lorraine and Jacques Clostermann from Alsace. After receiving flying tuition from German pilot Karl Benitz (died in 1943, Russia), he completed his secondary education in France and gained his private pilot's licence in 1937. Wedge Antilles
Wedge Antilles is a fictional character in the ''Star Wars'' franchise. He is a supporting character portrayed by Denis Lawson in the original ''Star Wars'' trilogy. He is also featured in the ''Star Wars'' expanded universe, most notably as the lead character in most of the ''X-Wing'' novels. Wedge has also appeared in the sequel trilogy film ''The Rise of Skywalker'' (2019), with Lawson reprising his role, and the 2014 animated series ''Star Wars Rebels'', voiced by Nathan Kress. Bemus Point is a village in Chautauqua County, New York, United States. The village is within the town of Ellery and is located along the eastern shore of Chautauqua Lake. The population was 312 at the 2020 census. Geography Bemus Point is located along the southwestern edge of the town of Ellery, on the eastern shore of Chautauqua Lake at (42.162886, -79.391230). The village is immediately north of the location where Interstate 86 crosses Chautauqua Lake. Access to the village is from exits 9 and 10.
