Bilawal Belgium
Muhammad Bilal, commonly known as Bilawal Belgium (1928 – 26 August 1977) was a Pakistani Benju and classical music player and composer. He was recognized for his distinctive integration of the Banjo and Swarmandal. He mainly performed with Radio Pakistan, and is widely regarded as one of Pakistan's most important instrumentalists of all time. Early life Belgium was born in Mirpurkhas in 1928. He belonged to the ''Makrani Baloch'' community (also known as Sheedi) of African descent. He was initially encouraged in his musical pursuits by his mother, Mahgi, a singer of note, and his father, Jhuk, who was a player of the ''kuzank'' instrument. Career Bilawal got the title "Belgium" during early practice sessions at a shrine in Mirpurkhas, when a listener remarked that Bilawal played the banjo like a "Belgium", a comment that led to his popular moniker. Muhammad Juman
Ustad Muhammad Juman () (10 October 1935 – 24 January 1990) was a Sindhi musician and classical singer from Pakistan, whose impact on Sindhi music is still pervasive. Early life and career Muhammad Juman was born on 10 October 1935 in the village of Sorra, located in the Lasbela District of Balochistan, to a musician, Haji Ahmed Sakhirani of Sakhirani clan. It was only natural that he became fond of music from his childhood years. Juman took formal music lessons from a venerable Pakistani musician Ustad Nazar Hussain of Pakistan Television (Lahore Center), who had also been a music tutor to the renowned singer Madam Noor Jehan. Balochi Language
Balochi (, romanized: ) is a Northwestern Iranian language, spoken primarily in the Balochistan region of Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan. In addition, there are speakers in Oman, the Arab states of the Persian Gulf, Turkmenistan, East Africa and in diaspora communities in other parts of the world. Ghulam Abbas Baloch
Ghulam Abbas Baloch (October 1942 – 4 April 2014), was a Pakistani professional footballer who played as a winger. Abbas represented the Pakistan national football team from 1961 to 1963. Early life Abbas grew up in a poor family in Saifi Lane, Baghdadi, Lyari. Belonging to the Sheedi community, Abbas' paternal ancestors belonged to East Africa, who came during the Indian Ocean slave trade. His relatives from Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam in present-day Tanzania often came to Pakistan to visit his grandfather, and Bilawal Belgium, a famous banjo musician who also belonged to Abbas's family. Hussain Bakhsh Khadim
Hussain Bakhsh Khadim (15 January 1930 - 12 March 1992) also spelt as ''Hussain Bux Khadim'', was a Sindhi language folk singer and poet. Biography Hussain Bakhsh was born on 15 January 1930 at Arazi, district Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan. His father's name was Pir Bakhsh Bhanger. He only completed four classes in the primary school of his village. However, his childhood was spent in the company of esteemed elders, literary figures, and scholars from his village, which fostered his lifelong inclination towards music and poetry. From a young age, he began singing at social gatherings, marriage ceremonies, shrines, and local festivals. Rubina Qureshi, TI ( also ''Rubeena''; 19 October 1940 – 13 July 2022) was a Pakistani Sindhi language folk singer. She was popularly known as ''Nightingale of Sindh'' as she performed most of her songs in Sindhi, Urdu, Punjabi and Saraiki languages. Early life Rubina was born on 19 October 1940 in Hyderabad, Sindh, British Raj (now Pakistan). Her maiden name was Aisha Shaikh and her father's name was Illahi Bux Shaikh.
