Bila Tserkva is a airbase of the Ukrainian Air Force located near Bila Tserkva, Kyiv Oblast, Ukraine. The base is home to the 1333rd Reserve and Scrap Aviation Base. The base was home to the 251st Guards Heavy Bomber Aviation Regiment of the Soviet Air Forces between 1951 and 1992 with the Tupolev Tu-16 The Tupolev Tu-16 (USAF/DOD reporting name Type 39; NATO reporting name: Badger) is a twin-engined jet strategic heavy bomber used by the Soviet Union. Bila Tserkva
Bila Tserkva ( ; , ) is a city in central Ukraine. It is situated on the Ros (river), Ros River in the historical region of right-bank Ukraine. It is the largest city in Kyiv Oblast (which does not include the city of Kyiv) and serves as the administrative centre of Bila Tserkva Raion and Bila Tserkva urban Hromadas of Ukraine, hromada, and has a population of , 205,000 (2024 estimate). The oldest preserved document that mentions the city, at that time called ''Yuryiv'', is the ''Hypatian Codex'' (1115). Historically, the city has been at the centre of the ''Porossia'' (River Ros) region. Founded as a border fortification of Kievan Rus', Bila Tserkva later became property of Polish nobility and served as a prominent commercial centre. The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine () is the ministry of defence, ministry of the Government of Ukraine, Ukrainian government that oversees national defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The head of the ministry is the List of Ministers of Defense (Ukraine), Minister of Defence. The President of Ukraine is the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
