Bikram Keshari Barma
Bikram Keshari Barma () (25 May 1940 – 5 June 2021) was an Indian politician, educationist, social worker, and writer from the state of Odisha. He served as a member of the 13th Odisha Legislative Assembly representing the Mahanga constituency. He is remembered as a multi-faceted personality—a committed teacher, thoughtful writer, and passionate social reformer. Cuttack District
Cuttack district is one of the 30 districts of Odisha state in India. It is located in the coastal part of the state and its administrative headquarters are located in the city of Cuttack. As of 2011 Census, after Ganjam district, Ganjam, it is the second most populous district of Odisha, with a population of 2,624,470. The name is an anglicized form of ''Kataka'' or ''Katak'' meaning Fort – referring to the Barabati Fort. The district is bisected by the river Mahanadi and its numerous distributaries and occupies a large portion of the river's delta. Mayadhar Mansingh
Mayadhar Mansingh (13 November 1905 – 11 October 1973) was an Indian poet and writer who wrote in Odia. He received the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award in India, in 1967. Personal life Mansingh was born in Nandala village, Ramalenka Grampanchayat, Krushnaprasad Tahasil of Puri district, Odisha, India. He was married to Hemalata and had 5 children. The politics of Odisha are part of India's federal parliamentary representative democracy, where the union government exercises sovereign rights. COVID-19 Pandemic In Odisha
The first case of the COVID-19 pandemic was confirmed in the Indian state of Odisha on 16 March 2020.
