Big Gay Out (London)
The Big Gay Out was a short-lived live popular music event, dance party, and funfair for the LGBT community in Finsbury Park, London. It was held twice, in 2004 as part of London's Gay Pride, and again in 2005 separately from London Pride. There was no Big Gay Out in 2006 due to the Europride celebrations, and a third event planned for 2007 was never held. A portion of the profits made went to charities including Stonewall. 2004 event The first Big Gay Out music festival held in Finsbury Park was hosted as part of London's Pride events, following the parade. The event had 45 artists scheduled to perform, including the Sugababes, Jamelia and Peter André, along with more than 50 DJs. Do Me Bad Things
Do Me Bad Things are a nine-piece English blues/rock/soul/metal band from Croydon, London, England, who formed in 2003 and split up in January 2006 before recently re-forming in early 2015. History They started out supposedly not intending to be a band, and admit to having no aspirations of fame. Do Me Bad Things (DMBT) began on 14 February 2003 with Alex Lewis, Tom Shotton and Adam Mallett deciding to create a rock trio for fun. Eventually they realised that their material needed to have three vocalists in places, and they needed another vocalist for other songs. Nicolai Prowse (vocals) had been in bands with Shotton and Rich Aldhurst when they were younger, as had Lewis. The line-up grew with the introduction of Chantal Brown, with whom Shotton had been working in a bookshop. Goldfrapp
Goldfrapp are an English electronic music duo from London, formed in 1999. The duo consists of Alison Goldfrapp (vocals, synthesiser) and Will Gregory (synthesiser). Despite favourable reviews and a short-listing for the Mercury Prize, their 2000 début studio album '' Felt Mountain'' did not chart highly. Goldfrapp's second album '' Black Cherry'', which incorporated glam rock and synth-pop sounds into their music, was released in 2003. Frankie Goes to Hollywood were an English synth-pop band formed in Liverpool in 1980. The group's best-known line-up comprised Holly Johnson (vocals), Paul Rutherford (backing vocals), Peter Gill (drums, percussion), Mark O'Toole (bass guitar) and Brian Nash (guitar). Girls Aloud were an pop girl group that was created through the ITV talent show '' Popstars: The Rivals'' in 2002. The group comprised singers Cheryl, Nadine Coyle, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. The group achieved a string of twenty consecutive top ten singles in the United Kingdom, including four number ones. They also achieved seven certified albums, of which two reached number one. The Human League
The Human League are an English synth-pop band formed in Sheffield in 1977. Initially an experimental electronic outfit, the group signed to Virgin Records in 1979 and later attained widespread commercial success with their third album '' Dare'' in 1981 after restructuring their lineup. Killa Kela (born Lee Potter) is a British beatboxer and rapper from West Sussex. Jennifer Frost (born 22 February 1978) is an English singer, television presenter and model. She was a member of girl group Precious before replacing Kerry Katona in the group Atomic Kitten from 2001 until they disbanded in April 2004. Sunset Strippers were an electronic music group from the UK. They are known for their 2005 song " Falling Stars", which samples the 1988 hit song " Waiting for a Star to Fall" by Boy Meets Girl and was involved in a sampling battle with Cabin Crew.
