Big Easy Tour
The Big Easy Tour, currently titled as the Betway Big Easy Tour, is a developmental golf tour based in South Africa, founded in 2011. It is a developmental tour for the Sunshine Tour. The top 12 players earn Sunshine Tour cards, with those 11th–30th earning entry into the final stage of Sunshine Tour qualifying school. The tour is named after the nickname of South African golfer Ernie Els. In 2017, three tournaments were co-sanctioned with the MENA Golf Tour. From the start of 2018, tournaments attracted Official World Golf Ranking points. Winners initially received a minimum of 3 points for 54-hole tournaments and 5 points for 72-hole tournaments. Order of Merit winners Sunshine Development Tour In March 2025, the Sunshine Tour announced the formation of the Sunshine Development Tour, a formation of tournaments to be played in Kenya and East Africa. Malcolm Jarod Mitchell (born July 20, 1993) is an American author, poet, and former professional football player. He played as a wide receiver for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). Mitchell played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs. Christiaan Bezuidenhout (; born 18 May 1994) is a South African professional golfer who is a three-time winner on the European Tour. He won the 2019 Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucía Masters and, in consecutive weeks, the 2020 Alfred Dunhill Championship and 2020 South African Open. Amateur career As an amateur, Bezuidenhout received a drug suspension after testing positive for beta blockers at the 2014 Amateur Championship. Bezuidenhout was using them for anxiety and a stutter after an accidental poisoning at the age of two. The suspension was originally for two years but was later reduced to nine months. Professional career Bezuidenhout turned professional in early 2015.
