Big Brother Canada (season 9)
''Big Brother Canada 9'' is the ninth season of the Canadian reality television series ''Big Brother Canada''. The series began filming on February 27, 2021 and premiered on March 3, 2021 on Global. Hosted by Arisa Cox, the show revolved around fourteen contestants (known as HouseGuests), who volunteered to reside in a house while being constantly filmed without any communication with the outside world as they compete to win a grand prize of CA$100,000. The season concluded on May 6, 2021 after 69 days of competition. It was won by urban planner Tychon Carter-Newman, who defeated anthropology student Breydon White in a 6-1 jury vote. Carter-Newman is the first Black Canadian to win a season of ''Big Brother Canada'', and the second to win a season among North American ''Big Brother'' adaptations, after Tamar Braxton of the second season of the American celebrity spin-off. Old Massett
Old Massett, named G̱aw in X̱aad kíl, is an Indigenous Canadian village on Graham Island in Haida Gwaii, British Columbia. It lies on the east side of Masset Sound close to the town of Masset; the area of land it is on is legally designated Masset Indian Reserve No. 1, or Masset 1. The original name of the settlement was Uttewas, meaning "white-slope village" in the Haida language. It is populated by Haida people of both Ḵuustak, the Eagle matrilineage, and Ḵayx̱al, the Raven matrilineage. The town is administered by the Old Massett Village Council. Its population has fluctuated over the last one hundred and fifty years; smallpox, especially the 1862 Pacific Northwest smallpox epidemic, drastically reduced its numbers in the late 1800s, but in 1968, it had over 1,000 people and was the largest village in Haida Gwaii. LaSalle, Ontario
LaSalle is a town in Essex County, Ontario, Canada. It is a bedroom community of the City of Windsor and part of the Windsor Census Metropolitan Area, and is located south of that city.
