''Bibo Binanao'' (English: ''My Three Sisters'') is a 2024 Indian Boro-language drama film written and directed by Kenny Deori Basumatary. The film is produced by National Film Development Corporation of India and Prithul Kumar. Helina Daimary, Pansy Brahma, Mithinga Narzary and Sangeena Brahma star as the leads. Kenny Basumatary
Kenny Deori Basumatary is an Indian actor and film director. He has appeared in Hindi cinema, Hindi and Assamese cinema, Assamese films as an actor, and as director in Assamese Cinema, Assamese films. He is popularly known for directing the Assamese martial arts comedy film Local Kung Fu and its sequel, which he also starred in. It was nominated for best Assamese film in the inaugural Filmfare awards for the Eastern region. The budget of the film was Rs.95,000. Early life Kenny dropped out of college while pursuing Computer Engineering in IIT Delhi. After that, he worked as a newsreader for an Assamese News channel. Film career In 2009, Kenny moved to Mumbai to attend film scripting workshop, in which his martial arts based script did not make it to top six. 55th International Film Festival Of India
The 55th International Film Festival of India took place from 20 to 28 November 2024 at Panaji, Goa. The theme of this year's festival is 'Young Filmmakers – The Future is Now', so this year a new section and award category 'Best Debut Director of Indian Feature Film' has been introduced in the festival to encourage young blood. The award is a certificate and cash prize of lakh in recognition of young directorial talent from India. The festival screened over 180 international films from 81 countries, including 15 world premieres. The 7 Sisters North East International Film Festival which was previously called Brahmaputra Valley Film Festival (BVFF) is a film festival hosted in Guwahati, Assam, India annually since 2013. The 2nd Eikhoigi Imphal International Film Festival took place from 6 to 9 February, 2025 at Imphal, Manipur. The festival had screened 53 films from India and abroad, spread across four venues in Imphal (Manipur State Film Development Society, Chandrakriti Auditorium, Tanthapolis Cinema and Kumecs Cinema). It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures.
