Bianca Wood (born 20 February 2000) is a field hockey player from South Africa. Personal life Wood attended Clarendon High School for Girls, East London. Career Under–21 Wood made her debut for the South Africa women's national under-21 field hockey team, South Africa U–21 in 2022 at the 2022 Women's FIH Hockey Junior World Cup, FIH Junior World Cup in Potchefstroom. National team Wood made her senior international debut for South Africa women's national field hockey team, South Africa in 2019, during a test series against Namibia women's national field hockey team, Namibia in Randburg. In May 2022, she was named in the squad for the 2022 Women's FIH Hockey World Cup, FIH World Cup in Terrassa and Amsterdam. Shortly after this announcement, she was also named in the squad for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. The 2019 Women's Premier Hockey League was the 4th edition of the Premier Hockey League, the annual tournament in women's field hockey championship of South Africa. Competition format Format The 2019 Premier Hockey League followed a single round-robin format, followed by a classification round. During the pool stage teams played each other once. The top four ranked teams qualified for the Classification Round. Team 1 played Team 4, while Team 2 played Team 3 in the two semi-finals. The two victorious teams moved onto the Final, while the losing teams competed for third place.
