Bhupen Kumar Borah
Bhupen Kumar Borah (born 30 October 1970) is an Indian National Congress politician from Assam and president of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee since 2021. He was previously a two-term member of the Assam Legislative Assembly representing Bihpuria from 2006 to 2016. Early life Bhupen Borah was born on 30 October 1970 in Pohumora, Lakhimpur, Assam. He graduated from North Lakhimpur College and Dibrugarh University. He was vice-president of North Lakhimpur College Students' Union and general secretary of Dibrugarh University Postgraduate Students' Union. Bhupen Hazarika
Bhupen Hazarika (; 8 September 1926 – 5 November 2011), widely known as Sudha Kontho, was an Indian singer, songwriter, writer, filmmaker and politician from Assam. He has written songs mainly in the Assamese language, which are marked by humanity and universal brotherhood. His songs have been translated into many languages, most notably in Bengali and in Hindi. His songs, based on the themes of communal amity, universal justice and empathy, are especially popular among the people of Assam, West Bengal and Bangladesh. He is also acknowledged to have introduced the culture and folk music of Assam and Northeast India to Hindi cinema at the national level. Bhupen Khakhar (also spelled Bhupen Khakkar, 10 March 1934 – 8 August 2003) was an Indian artist. Works Khakhar was a self-trained artist, and started his career as a painter relatively late in his life. His works were figurative in nature, concerned with the human body and its identity.
