Bhumjai Thai Party
Bhumjaithai Party (BJT; , ) is a major conservative populist political party in Thailand. It was founded on 5 November 2008, in anticipation of the 2 December 2008 Constitutional Court ruling that dissolved its ''de facto'' predecessor, the Neutral Democratic Party (PMT), along with the People's Power Party (PPP) and the Thai Nation Party. After the dissolutions, former members of the PMT and the Friends of Newin (KPW) faction of the PPP, defected to this party. Currently, it is the second largest party in the opposition. Bhumjaithai has a populist platform, since some of the policies were drawn from Thaksin Shinawatra's populist Thai Rak Thai party and its second incarnation, the PPP. Anutin Charnvirakul
Anutin Charnvirakul (, ; born 13 September 1966) is a Thai politician who has served as the Minister of Interior and Deputy Prime Minister since 2023. From 2019 to 2023 he was the Minister of Public Health in Prayut Chan-o-cha's government and was the prominent public figure in charge of managing the COVID-19 pandemic in Thailand. Anutin has been a member of several political parties such as the National Development Party, Thai Rak Thai Party and is currently the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party. People's Power Party (Thailand)
The People's Power Party (PPP; , , ) was a Thai political party. The party leader was Somchai Wongsawat, the Party Secretary General was Surapong Suebwonglee, and the Party Spokesperson was Kuthep Saikrajarng. Most MPs of the party originally hailed from the Thai Rak Thai Party and thus the party was its de facto reincarnation with former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra as its "leader." The PPP had a Populism, populist platform and was strong in the North, Central, and Northeastern regions of Thailand. Chavarat Charnvirakul
Chavarat Charnvirakul (, , ; born 7 June 1936) is a Thai politician. He had served as an acting prime minister of Thailand as a result of the 2008 Thai political crisis. His family is of Thai Chinese descent with ancestry from Guangdong. Education Chavarat graduated from Thammasat University in 1966 with a degree in economics. Political career After spending many years in the public sector, he joined the government in 1994 as Deputy Minister of Finance, his tenure lasted till 1997. Anupong Paochinda (; ; born 10 October 1949) is a Thai politician and retired army officer. He held the position of Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army from 2007 until his retirement on 30 September 2010. Abhisit Vejjajiva (; , , ; born 3 August 1964) is a Thai politician who was the 27th prime minister of Thailand from 2008 to 2011. He was the leader of the Democrat Party from 2005 until he resigned following the party's weak performance in the 2019 election. The Thai Rak Thai Party (TRT; , , ; "Thais Love Thais Party") was a list of political parties in Thailand, Thai political party founded in 1998. From 2001 to 2006, it was the ruling party under its founder, Prime Minister of Thailand, Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra.
