Bhotia Dog
The Himalayan Sheepdog, () known locally by various names including the Bhotia,Bhote Kukur, Bangara and sometimes called the Himalayan Mastiff, is a Dog breed, breed of livestock guardian dog from the Himalayas of India and Pakistan History Tracing back to ancient times, Himalayan Sheepdogs were guardians and companion for shepherds as well as Nepalese monasteries. Due to the decline in nomadic lifestyles, the Himalayan Sheepdog's population has also been in decline, though there are still dedicated breeders and enthusiasts working to preserve and promote the breed. The breed is recognized by International Kennel Club under the name Bhote Kukur. Closely related to the slightly larger Tibetan Mastiff, Himalayan Sheepdogs are distinguished by being more protective against people. Snow Leopard
The snow leopard (''Panthera uncia'') is a species of large cat in the genus ''Panthera'' of the family Felidae. The species is native to the mountain ranges of Central and South Asia. It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List because the global population is estimated to number fewer than 10,000 mature individuals and is expected to decline about 10% by 2040. It is mainly threatened by poaching and habitat destruction following infrastructural developments. It inhabits alpine and subalpine zones at elevations of , ranging from eastern Afghanistan, the Himalayas and the Tibetan Plateau to southern Siberia, Mongolia and western China. Kuchi (dog)
The Kuchi Dog, also known as the Afghan Shepherd, is an Afghan livestock guardian dog, taking its name from the Kuchi people of Afghanistan. It is a working dog following the nomads, protecting caravans and flocks of sheep, goats, camels and other livestock from wolves, bears, hyenas, big cats and thieves. The Pashto name is De Kochyano Spai or Jangi Spai, meaning "Dog of the Nomads" and "Fighter Dog". It is found around the central and northern parts of Afghanistan. A livestock guardian dog of Molossoid type, the Kuchi dog shares a similar genetic background to the Alabai (Central Asian Shepherd). Baruntse
Baruntse is a mountain in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal, crowned by four peaks and bounded on the south by the Hunku Glacier, on the east by the Barun Glacier, and on the northwest by the Imja Glacier. It is considered as one of the best preparation peaks in the Himalayas for climbers readying themselves for eight-thousanders, however the mountain has a low success rate due to its technical difficulties, steep slopes and unpredictable weather conditions. It is open for beginners, but requires the use of fixed ropes to climb. The mountain is usually accessed from the South, where climbers can ascend Mera Peak to acclimatize before moving up the valley to the Baruntse base camp.
