Bhim is one of the 200 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Rajasthan state in India. It comprises Bhim tehsil and Deogarh tehsil, both in Rajsamand district. As of 2023, its representative is Harisingh Rawat of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Harisingh Rawat
Hari Singh Rawat (born 26 May 1955) is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the 16th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, representing the Bhim constituency. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, who previously served as a member of the 12th, 13th, and 14th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from the Bhim constituency and in the Indian Army from 1976 to 1981. Early life Hari Singh Rawat was born on 26 May 1955 in Bhim, Rajsamand in Rajasthan. Politics of Rajasthan is mainly dominated by two parties, the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress. The current government in Rajasthan is that of the Bhartiya Janata Party and Bhajan Lal Sharma is the Chief Minister. History Sukhadia-Shekhawat Era Rajasthan's politics has mainly been dominated by the two state stalwarts, namely, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and Mohan Lal Sukhadia of the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Indian National Congress respectively. 2018 Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Election
Legislative Assembly elections were held in the Indian state of Rajasthan on 7 December 2018. The Indian National Congress became the single largest party with 100 seats, short of the majority by 1 seat. The Bharatiya Janata Party won 73 seats, much lower compared to the previous election, in which it won an absolute majority of 163 seats. The Indian National Congress formed the government with the Bahujan Samaj Party. Background The tenure of the Rajasthan Assembly ended on 20 January 2019. The main political contenders are the Bharatiya Janta Party, BJP, Indian National Congress, INC, Bahujan Samaj Party, BSP and the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party, RLP. Most of the by-elections preceding the election were won by the Indian National Congress.
