Baburam Bhattarai
Baburam Bhattarai ( ne, बाबुराम भट्टराई, ; born 18 June 1954), also known by his nom de guerre Laaldhwoj, is a Nepalese politician and former Prime Minister, who presently serves as leader of the Nepal Socialist Party. Bhattarai was a long-time leading member and deputy chairman of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) prior to founding a new party, Naya Shakti Party, Nepal. Krishna Prasad Bhattarai (Nepali: कृष्णप्रसाद भट्टराई; 13 December 19244 March 2011) also known as Kishunji was a Nepalese political leader. He was one of the main leaders involved in transitioning Nepal from an absolute monarchy to a democratic multi-party system. Bhattarai became Prime Minister of Nepal in April 1990 after a popular democratic movement referred as Jana-Andolan. Amrit Bhattarai (born 30 December 1990) is a Nepalese cricketer. Amrit is a right-handed batsman and a left-arm medium-fast bowler. He made his debut for Nepal against Hong Kong in October 2006. Subin Bhattarai (born 5 November 1982) is a Nepalese writer and columnist, best known for his romance novels such as ''Summer Love'' and ''Saaya''. He published his first book ''Kathaki Paatra'', a collection of short stories, in 2011. His works are mostly popular among the young readers. Durga Prasad Bhattarai (born 25 April 1961) is a Nepali career diplomat who is currently the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Nepal to the United Nations in New York City. Bahun ( ne, बाहुन) or Khas Brahmin ( ne, खस ब्राह्मण) is a caste ( ''Varna'') among Khas people of Nepal. Their origins are from the Indo-Aryan Khasa tribe of Nepal and South Asia.
