Alok Bhargava
Alok Bhargava (born 13 July 1954) is an Indian econometrician. He studied mathematics at Delhi University and economics and econometrics at the London School of Economics. He is currently a full professor at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy. Education In 1974 he received his B.A with honors in Mathematics at Delhi University. In 1977 he got his B.Sc in Economics at London School of Economics. In 1978 he received his M.Sc in Economometrics at London School of Economics. Bhargava received his Ph.D. in econometrics from the London School of Economics under the supervision of John Denis Sargan in 1982. His thesis (''The Theory of the Durbin–Watson Statistic with special reference to the Specification of Models in Levels as against in Differences'') led to many tests for unit roots that were used in co-integration analyses. Girdhari Lal Bhargava
Girdhari Lal Bhargava (11 November 1936 – 8 March 2009) was a member of the Lok Sabha (lower house of parliament) in India. A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he was elected six consecutive times for the Jaipur constituency of Rajasthan. He defeated Bhawani Singh by nearly 100,000 votes and thereafter had margins always above 100,000 votes. Gopi Chand Bhargava (8 March 1889 – 26 December 1966) was the first Chief Minister of Punjab from 15 August 1947 to 13 April 1949, and again between 18 October 1949, to 20 June 1951, and for the third time as caretaker Chief Minister between 21 June 1964, and 6 July 1964.
