Bhanu Goenda Jahar Assistant
''Bhanu Goenda Jahar Assistant'' is an Indian Bengali-language Detective comedy film directed by Purnendu Roy Chowdhury and produced by Badalraja Sinha. This film was released in 1971 under the banner of Joydeep Pictures. Shyamal Mitra was the music director of the movie. Plot Nupur, daughter of Digambar Chatterjee flees away from her home in Delhi to avoid her marriage. Her father announces a reward of ten thousand for her. Nupur comes to Kolkata and takes shelter in the house of Anjan Mukherjee. Anjan realises her problem and helps her. In the meantime detective duos Bhanu Roy and Jahar Banerjee start searching for Nupur for prize money. Bhanu Banerjee
Bhanu Banerjee, also known as Bhanu Bandyopadhyay (born as Samyamoy Banerjee; 26 August 1920 – 4 March 1983), was an Indian actor, known for his work in Cinema of West Bengal, Bengali cinema. He acted in over 300 movies, in numerous plays and performed frequently on the radio. Early life Bhanu Banerjee was born on 26 August 1920 at Dhaka, Bengal in a Kulin Brahmin family. His ancestral home was at a village called Panchgaon in Bikrampur, Dhaka Division, present day Bangladesh. Bhanu Banerjee was related to Sabitri Chatterjee through his maternal side. Geetashree Sandhya Mukherjee (also spelled Mukhopadhyay; 4 October 1931 – 15 February 2022) was an Indian playback singer and musician, specialising in Bengali music. She received Banga Bibhushan, the highest civilian honour of the Indian state of West Bengal in 2011. Bankim Ghosh (22 October 1922 — 3 June 1992) was a veteran actor of Bengali film and theatre personality. Early life Ghosh was born in 1922 in Kolkata, British India. He passed Matriculate examination from Oriental Seminary and B.Com. from City College in 1938. He was a good athlete during his student life. Jahar Roy (19 September 1919 – 1 August 1977) was an Indian actor and comedian in Bengali cinema. He was known for his comedy films with Bhanu Bandyopadhyay. Early life Roy came from a Bengali Baidya family having its root in Mahilara, Barisal District (of the present Bangladesh). His father Satya Roy was also an actor and later moved to Patna, in search of livelihood. It is here where Jahar Roy completed his studies and started working on odd jobs such as proof reader, medical representative and finally a tailor. He left all these and came to Calcutta around 1946. Movie career Roy earned a substantial fan following even though he was a character actor.
