Bhagwant Mann
Bhagwant Singh Mann (born 17 October 1973) is an Indian politician and current Chief Minister of Punjab. He leads the cabinet ministry of Punjab and is a member of the Aam Aadmi Party. He is a former actor, comedian and satirist. He previously served two terms as the Member of Parliament from Lok Sabha representing Sangrur constituency, Punjab from 2014 until his resignation in 2022. Early life Mann was born in a Sikh family on 17 October 1973 to father Mohinder Singh and mother Harpal Kaur in Satoj village of Sunam tehsil of Sangrur district, Punjab, India. He completed his first year of a Bachelor of Commerce course at Shaheed Udham Singh Government College, Sunam. Acting career Mann participated in youth comedy festivals and inter-college competitions. The Bhagwant Mann ministry is the State Cabinet of Punjab, India headed by the present Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. The oath-taking ceremony of Mann was held at Khatkar Kalan village on 16 March 2022. The 10 cabinet ministers took oath on 19 March. It was established on 30 April 1962 and is only the second university in the world to be named after a language, after Hebrew University of Israel. Udham Singh
Udham Singh (born Sher Singh; 26 December 1899 — 31 July 1940) was an Indian revolutionary belonging to Ghadar Party and HSRA, best known for assassinating Michael O'Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of the Punjab in India, on 13 March 1940. The assassination was done in revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919, for which O'Dwyer was responsible. Singh was subsequently tried and convicted of murder and hanged in July 1940. While in custody, he used the name Ram Mohammad Singh Azad, which represents the three major religions in India and his anti-colonial sentiment. Singh is a well-known figure of the Indian independence movement. He is also referred to as ''Shaheed-i-Azam Sardar Udham Singh'' (the expression "Shaheed-i-Azam" means "the great martyr").
