Beyond Atlantis (film)
''Beyond Atlantis'' is a 1973 Filipino-American science fiction horror film directed by Eddie Romero, written by Charles Johnson, based on a story by Stephanie Rothman, and starring Patrick Wayne. Eddie Romero
Edgar Sinco Romero, (July 7, 1924 – May 28, 2013), commonly known as Eddie Romero, was a Filipino film director, film producer and screenwriter. Early life Romero was born on July 7, 1924. His father was José E. Romero, the first Philippine Ambassador to the Court of St. James's. His mother was Pilar Guzman Sinco, a schoolteacher and the sister of University of the Philippines President Vicente G. Sinco who signed the United Nations Charter in 1945 on behalf of the Philippines. His brother was Jose V. Romero Jr., former Philippine Ambassador to Italy. He studied at Silliman University. Larry Woolner
The Woolner Brothers were an American film releasing company formed in 1955, made up of Lawrence (April 22, 1912 – July 21, 1985), Bernard (June 9, 1910 – February 21, 1977), and David Woolner. History After US Army service in World War II, Lawrence started a New Orleans drive-in theatre in 1948. His brother Bernard had previously opened the first drive-in theatre in Memphis. Like other drive-in owners, the Woolners advanced money to low-budget B picture producers to finance their product. Their first release was Roger Corman's ''Swamp Women'', followed by Corman's ''Teenage Doll'', both released through Allied Artists. Bernard Woolner produced but financially successful ''Attack of the 50 Foot Woman'' in 1958. The company moved to California in the early 1960s. The Woman Hunt
''The Woman Hunt'' is a 1972 film directed by Eddie Romero and starring John Ashley, Pat Woodell, and Sid Haig. It was the last of several films Romero made for Roger Corman's New World Pictures and is an unofficial remake of Richard Connell's 1924 short story "The Most Dangerous Game". Plot Mercenaries Tony ( John Ashley), Silas (Sid Haig) and Karp (Ken Metcalfe) kidnap women and take them to an island, where a wealthy man named Spyros (Eddie Garcia) assembles a group to hunt the women. Tony begins to question what he is doing, and helps McGee (Pat Woodell), Billie (Charlene Jones) and Lori (Laurie Rose) escape. Karp and Silas have a falling out, and Karp kills Silas. Spyros' head of security, Magda (Lisa Todd), goes after the escapees but is killed in a trap. Billie and Lori are killed during the hunt.
