Bexhill High School
Bexhill High Academy (formerly Bexhill High School) is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Bexhill-on-Sea in the English county of East Sussex. Bexhill High converted to academy status in November 2012. It had been a community school administered by East Sussex County Council. The school continues to coordinate with East Sussex County Council for admissions. As an academy, the school was previously part of the Prospects Academies Trust. However, in May 2014 the trust folded. Bexhill High Academy is now part of the Attwood Academies trust. Along with Bexhill College the school operates Bexhill FM, a Restricted Service Licence FM frequency station which broadcasts for a few weeks a year to the Bexhill area. After graduating from RADA, he played Rick in three episodes of '' London's Burning'' as firefighter Sally Reid's swimming instructor. Alexia Laurette Walker (born 26 November 1982) is an English cricketer who plays as an all-rounder. She is a right-handed Batting (cricket), batter and right-arm Fast bowling, fast-medium Bowling (cricket), bowler. She appeared in three Women's One Day International, One Day Internationals for England women's cricket team, England in August 2001, making her debut against Scotland women's national cricket team, Scotland. Nils Norman
Life and career Early life Norman was born in Sevenoaks, Kent, England in 1966 and lived there until 1979. In 1979 his parents moved to Bexhill, East Sussex. He attended Bexhill High School, Bexhill Sixth Form College and he did his Art Foundation at Hastings College of Arts and Technology. Public works Norman has completed major public art projects, including a pedestrian bridge, small playgrounds and a landscaping project for the City of Roskilde. Hayley Okines
Hayley Leanne Okines (3 December 1997 – 2 April 2015) was an English author and activist who was a sufferer of the extremely rare aging disease progeria. She was known for spreading awareness of the condition. Although the life expectancy for those with the condition is 13 years, Okines was part of a drug trial that had seen her surpass doctors' predictions of her projected lifespan. She died on 2 April 2015 at the age of 17, having lived four years beyond doctors' initial predictions. Okines was diagnosed with progeria at the age of two, and doctors put her projected lifespan at thirteen years. She frequently travelled to Boston in the United States to receive new treatments. In 2012, her autobiography, titled ''Old Before My Time'', was published; it was co-authored by Okines, her mother Kerry, and contributor Alison Stokes. Bexhill-on-Sea
Bexhill-on-Sea (often shortened to Bexhill) is a seaside town and civil parish in the Rother District in the county of East Sussex in South East England. It is located along the Sussex Coast and between the towns of Hastings, England, Hastings and Eastbourne. History The first reference to Bexhill, or Bexelei as it was originally called, was in a charter granted by King Offa of Mercia in 772 AD. It is recorded that Offa had "defeated the men of Hastings" in 771 AD. At this time, the term Hastings would have referred to this whole area rather than the town itself as it does today. In the charter, Offa established a church and religious community in Bexhill. During the Norman Conquest of 1066, it appears that Bexhill was largely destroyed.
