Bewafa (1952 Film)
Bewafa () is a 1952 Indian film directed by M. L. Anand, starring the hit Bollywood pair Nargis, Raj Kapoor, along with Ashok Kumar as a lead actor and he appears as a painter in the movie. It is considered one of the best films of the pair Raj Kapoor and Nargis. Plot It depicts the story of a poor girl, Roopa (Nargis) who is forced by her alcoholic uncle to work. When she cannot meet her uncle's demand to earn money, she is removed from the house by her uncle, when her neighbour Raj (Raj Kapoor) comes to her aid and loans her some money. Despite that, she finds it difficult to make ends meet, and then she meets Ashok, with whom she later sells paintings, however then Raj reenters her life. The story follows the love triangle between Roopa, Raj and Ashok. Ashok Kumar
Kumudlal Ganguly (13 October 1911 – 10 December 2001), better known by his stage name Ashok Kumar and also by Dadamoni, was an Indian actor who attained iconic status in Indian cinema and who was a member of the cinematic Ganguly family. Shamshad Begum (Hindi: शमशाद बेगम, IAST: ''Śamśād Bēgam''; 14 April 1919 – 23 April 2013) was an Indian singer who was one of the first playback singers in the Hindi film industry. Sardul Singh Kwatra was an Indian film director and music composer. He composed music for Hindi and Punjabi films. Early life Kwatra was born in 1928 to a Sikh family in Lahore in British Punjab. He was very fond of music since his childhood. During his school days he got his initial training in classical music from Sardar Avtar Singh of Lahore. Later joined popular music director Hansraj Behl as an assistant. Career After partition, Kwatra's family moved to Amritsar and then to Bombay.
