Beverly Warren (singer)
Beverly J. Warren is an American higher education administrator who was appointed the 12th president of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, United States; she replaced Lester A. Lefton in July 2014. She was a provost and senior vice president of Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) before coming to Kent State University. Kent State University trustees will extend President Beverly Warren's contract through 2020. She announced her decision to step down as president in an email sent to students on October 23, 2018, stating that she would not be renewing her contract for the 2020-21 academic year. Her tenure as president ended July 1, 2019 with Todd Diacon succeeding her. Appalachian State University
Appalachian State University (), or App State, is a Public university, public research university in Boone, North Carolina, United States. It was founded as a normal school, teachers' college in 1899 by brothers B. B. and D. D. Dougherty and the latter's wife, Lillie Shull Dougherty. Greenwood is a city in and the county seat of Greenwood County, South Carolina. The population in the 2020 United States Census was 22,545 down from 23,222 at the 2010 census. The city is home to Lander University. History In 1823 John McGehee and his wife Charlotte built a summerhouse called "Green Wood" midway between the cities of Abbeville and Cambridge in order to have cleaner air. Nearby, a village named Woodville was formed in 1837 with a post office. By 1850, the village designation was changed to the name Greenwood. Lester Lefton
Lester A. Lefton (born July 27, 1946) is an American academic and higher education administrator. He was the President of Kent State University (2006–2014). He has 35 years of experience in higher education, having served for 25 years at a public institution and nine at private institutions. During his career, he has been a psychology professor, dean and provost, as well as a psychology textbook author. Of Jewish heritage, Lefton was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, and completed his bachelor's in psychology from Northeastern University in Boston in 1969. He earned his doctorate in experimental psychology, specializing in visual perception and focusing on cognitive psychology in 1974 from the University of Rochester, where he held a U.S. Public Health Service Predoctoral Fellowship.
