Beverly Rogers
Beverly Rogers is an American philanthropist. In 2014, she and her husband, Jim Rogers, founded the Rogers Foundation, a foundation trust specializing in education and the arts. In 2019, Rogers developed the Lucy, a literary and arts space, and in 2023, she debuted the Beverly Theater, a local film, performance, and arts venue, both of which are in the downtown Las Vegas area. Early life In 1962, Rogers moved from Pennsylvania to Nevada with her family, where her stepfather became a mechanic for a bowling alley, while her mother managed the office for an orthodontist. The Beverly Theater is an independent movie theater in Las Vegas, Nevada. Established in 2023 and named after the philanthropist Beverly Rogers, it was Las Vegas' first indie theater; as of 2025, it remains the city's only one. The Writer's Block is an independent bookseller, publisher, and literacy educator in downtown Las Vegas. It is the first independent bookstore in Las Vegas and second in the state of Nevada.
