Betty Halbreich
Betty S. Halbreich (; born November 17, 1927, née Stoll) is an American personal shopper, stylist, and author known for her career at the New York luxury department store Bergdorf Goodman, where she serves as Director of Solutions. Her 2015 memoir, titled ''I'll Drink to That: A Life in Style, with a Twist'', was featured on The New York Times Best Seller list. Biography Halbreich grew up in an affluent Jewish neighborhood in the South Side, Chicago, South Side of Chicago. Her stepfather, Harry Stoll, was a businessman who ran department stores and her mother, Carol, owned a bookstore. Her family were secular German Jews who also celebrated Christmas. Bergdorf Goodman Inc. is a luxury department store based on Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York. The company was founded in 1899 by Herman Bergdorf and was later owned and managed by Edwin Goodman, and later his son, Andrew Goodman. Today, Bergdorf Goodman operates from two stores situated across the street from each other at Fifth Avenue between 57th Street and 58th Streets. The main store, which opened at its current location in 1928, is located on the west side of Fifth Avenue. Park Avenue is a wide New York City boulevard which carries north and southbound traffic in the boroughs of Manhattan and the Bronx. For most of the road's length in Manhattan, it runs parallel to Madison Avenue to the west and Lexington Avenue to the east.
