Seerenbach Falls
The Seerenbach Falls () are a cascading set of three waterfalls east of Betlis in the municipalities of Switzerland, municipality of Amden (canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland). The waterfalls form a creek, the Seerenbach (), which drains into Lake Walen (). The Rinquelle () joins the lowest of the Seerenbach Falls, creating a fourth one ( or ). See-Gaster (Wahlkreis)
See-Gaster is a constituency (''Wahlkreis'') in the canton of St. Gallen in Switzerland. The Wahlkreis (Community Identification Number#Switzerland, SFOS number 1726) has been established on June 10, 2001, with an area of . It was formed from the former ''See'' and ''Gaster'' districts in 2001. History The name ''Gaster'' is from Latin ''castrum'' "castle"; a it is first recorded in 1230. Transhumance In The Alps
Alpine transhumance is transhumance as practiced in the Alps, that is, a seasonal droving of grazing livestock between the valleys in winter and the high mountain pastures in summer (German ' from the term for "seasonal mountain pasture", '). Transhumance is a traditional practice that has shaped much of the landscape in the Alps, as without it, most areas below would be forests.
