Besla
''Besla'' is a small genus of miniature sea snails, pyramidellid gastropod mollusks in the family Pyramidellidae within the tribe Chrysallidini (sensu taxonomy by Bouchet & Roctroi, 2005).Gofas, S.; Bouchet, P. (2012). Besla Dall & Bartsch, 1904. Accessed through: World Register of Marine Species at http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=571798 on 2012-08-27 Taxonomy The synonymy of ''Parthenina'' (Bucquoy, Dautzenberg & Dolfus, 1883) with ''Besla'' (Doll & Bartsch, 1904) proposed by Micali ''et al.,'' (2012) is debatable. The type species of ''Besla'' has a protoconch axis at 90° with that of teleoconch ''(Type A'' ''protoconch),'' whereas that of ''Parthenina'' is tilted at nearly 180° ''(Type C);'' therefore, these divergent characteristics suggest that ''Besla'' and ''Parthenina'' are unrelated and that their teleoconch sculpture may be convergent .Micali P., Nofroni I. & Perna E. Besla Convexa
''Besla convexa'' is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Pyramidellidae, the pyrams and their allies.Bouchet, P. (2015). Besla convexa (Carpenter, 1857). Accessed through: World Register of Marine Species at http://www.marinespecies.org/aphia.php?p=taxdetails&id=730707 on 2015-04-05 Description The small, slender shell is elongate-conic. It measures 2.4 mm. The two and one-half whorls of the protoconch form a moderately elevated helicoid spire, whose axis is at right angles to that of the succeeding turns, in the first of which it is about one-fifth immersed. The six whorls of the teleoconch overhang and are strongly contracted at the sutures, appressed at the summit, angulated at the posterior extremity of the anterior third. They are marked, between the sutures, strong, rounded, sinuous, almost vertical axial ribs, of which 16 occur upon the second and third, 18 upon the fourth, and 22 upon the penultimate turn.
