Bertioga
Bertioga is a Brazilian municipality in the state of São Paulo and part of the Baixada Santista Metropolitan Region. Its population is 64,723 (2020 est.) in an area of 490.15 km2. Because it neighbors resort towns, its population fluctuates greatly with the seasons. The more northern parts are densely forested and humanly unpopulated. It was created on 19 May 1991, from a part of Santos. The municipality contains the Restinga de Bertioga State Park, created in 2010 to protect an area of mangroves, restinga and rainforest. Its limits are Mogi das Cruzes, Biritiba-Mirim and Salesópolis in the north, São Sebastião in the east, Atlantic Ocean to the south with Ilha de Santo Amaro (opposite the city) and Santos in the west. Bertioga is where Josef Mengele, a Nazi Germany doctor at Auschwitz, drowned in 1979. Restinga De Bertioga State Park
The Restinga de Bertioga State Park () is a State park (Brazil), state park in the state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo, Brazil. It protects an area of restinga, mangroves and dense rainforest on the coast of São Paulo. The park provides an important ecological corridor from the coastal restinga to the Serra do Mar State Park further inland. São Sebastião (Portuguese language, Portuguese for Saint Sebastian) is a Brazilian Municipalities of Brazil, municipality, located on the southeast coast of Brazil, in the state of São Paulo (state), São Paulo. Josef Mengele
Josef Mengele (; 16 March 19117 February 1979) was a Nazi German (SS) officer and physician during World War II at the Russian front and then at Auschwitz during the Holocaust, often dubbed the "Angel of Death" (). Salesópolis
Salesópolis is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil. It is part of the Metropolitan Region of São Paulo. The population is 17,252 (2020 est.) in an area of 424.997 km². Salesópolis sits at an elevation of . It is noted for being the source of the Tietê River.
