Bernie Zelvis
Bernie Zelvis is an Australian film and television director, best known for his work in youth and music television. He also provides teaching services at Sydney TAFE. Television Bernie started his directing career in Perth with Kids Co. & The Buzz, and then moved to Sydney to direct Cheez TV and the Ground Zero (television show) for Channel Ten. Working for Channel V Australia, he directed iconic programs such as The Joint, Room 208, whatUwant and The Bus. Channel V's history of breaking in new talent has meant that Bernie was responsible for directing novices who have now become well-known Australian names. During the mid 70s he decided to travel to Russia and film programs for young audiences. One well-known program was Hedgehog in the Fog. Mount Druitt is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. It is located west of the Sydney central business district, in the local government area of the City of Blacktown, and is part of the Greater Western Sydney region. The Western Australian Music Industry Awards (commonly known as WAMis) are annual awards presented to the local contemporary music industry, put on by the Western Australian Music Industry Association Inc (WAM). History WAM was originally formed as the Western Australian Rock Music Industry Association Inc. (WARMIA) in 1985, with its main aim to develop and run annual awards recognising achievements within the music industry in Western Australia. The Big Day Out (BDO) was an annual music festival that was held in five Australian cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Queensland, Gold Coast, Adelaide, and Perth, as well as Auckland, New Zealand. The festival was held during summer, typically in January of each year but was sometimes held as late as early February in some cities including Perth. The event was conceptualised after the Violent Femmes announced a tour of Australia. Promoters Ken West and Vivian Lees sought another act as middle-level support for the band's tour. ''The MAX Sessions'' is an Australian television program broadcast on MAX. It features intimate performances, by both Australian and over-seas artists, played mostly acoustically in a live set up, similar to ''MTV Unplugged''. History ''The MAX Sessions'' were originally hosted by Crowded House drummer, Paul Hester, but after his suicide in March 2005, the hosting spot was taken by MAX TV personality Chit Chat Von Loopin Stab . Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Network (RTRN) () is a unitary enterprise created on August 13, 2001, by decree of the president of the Russian Federation. The company is included in the list of Russian strategic enterprises. RTRN operates Russia's digital terrestrial television (DTT) network — the largest operating broadcasting network in the world.
