Bernd Dürnberger
Bernhard "Bernd" Dürnberger (born 17 September 1953) is a German former professional footballer. A defensive midfielder, he played for thirteen seasons with Bayern Munich, from 1972 to 1985, winning eleven major trophies. Thus, together with Heinz Stuy, the goalkeeper of the golden era of AFC Ajax, he holds the record for being the player having won the most major club titles without having ever played for the national team of his country. He played in a total of 375 Bundesliga games and scored 38 goals. He never earned an international cap at senior level but appeared 78 times (9 goals) in the European cup competitions for Bayern Munich. Kirchanschöring () is a municipality in the district of Traunstein in Bavaria, Germany. 1976 Intercontinental Cup
The 1976 Intercontinental Cup was an association football tie held over two legs in November and December 1976 between Cruzeiro, winners of the 1976 Copa Libertadores, and the winners of the 1975–76 European Cup, Bayern Munich. FC Bayern Munich, even as European champions, didn't find a compatible schedule together with South-American champions Club Atlético Independiente, to play the 1975 Intercontinental Cup. This time, however, had no problems and the German club disputed the world title against the 1976 South-American champions, the Brazilian Cruzeiro Esporte Clube. The team of Bavaria held the base of the German team who won the 1974 FIFA World Cup, with players like Sepp Maier, Franz Beckenbauer, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Gerd Müller. The Intercontinental Cup, officially the European/South American Cup and known from 1980 as the Toyota Cup for sponsorship reasons, was an international association football, football competition endorsed by UEFA (Europe) and CONMEBOL (South America), contested between representative clubs from these confederations, usually the winners of the UEFA Champions League and the South American Copa Libertadores. 1975–76 European Cup
The 1975–76 season of the European Cup football club tournament was won for the third consecutive time by Bayern Munich in the final against Saint-Étienne at Hampden Park, Glasgow. This was the first time that Bayern Munich participated as last year's Cup winners only (Borussia Mönchengladbach won the 1974–75 Bundesliga).
