Bernadeth Pons
Bernadeth Pons (born October 19, 1996) is a Filipino indoor and beach volleyball athlete. She is currently playing for the Creamline Cool Smashers at the Premier Volleyball League. She played for Petron Tri-Activ Spikers as an outside hitter. Personal life Pons is the eldest in three siblings. She finished with a degree of BS Financial Management at Far Eastern University. Career Pons played with Rafael B Lacson National High School, Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association and the Far Eastern University. She played with Petron Tri-Activ Spikers, winning the 2016 Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Second Best Outside Spiker award. In the 2017 season of the Philippine SuperLiga, Pons and Cherry Rondina of Petron Sprint 4T won the championship of the Beach Challenge Cup. With the Petron Blaze Spikers, she won the Invitational Cup silver medal, All-Filipino Conference gold medal and the Grand Prix Conference silver medal. UAAP Season 79 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 79 volleyball tournaments started on February 4, 2017 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, with the opening games of the men and women's senior volleyball tourneys, participated by 8 regular UAAP members. Aside from the Smart Araneta Coliseum, the games will also be held at the Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan City and the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay. UAAP Season 78 Volleyball Tournaments
The UAAP Season 78 high school volleyball tournament started on August 22, 2015. The tournament venue is the Adamson University Gym in San Marcelino St., Ermita, Manila. Adamson is the tournament host. The number of participating schools in the boys' and girls' tournaments both increased to seven. Far Eastern University fielded boys' and girls' volleyball teams beginning season 77. Since there are now seven participating schools, the tournaments have a Final Four format. The UAAP Board decided to move the high school volleyball tournaments from 2nd semester to 1st semester due to the basketball juniors tournament being moved from the 1st semester to 2nd semester. DLSU Lady Spikers
The De La Salle University Lady Spikers is the official women's volleyball team of De La Salle University. History The Lady Spikers were the first NCAA women's champions in volleyball when the tournament was introduced in NCAA Season 51 (1975–76). The first UAAP title of the team came in Season 62 (2000). They then won the UAAP title in 2004, 2005, 2006 (as 3-peat champions), 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013 (as 3-peat champions), and 2016, 2017, 2018 (as 3-peat champions). UAAP Season 71 was the 2008–2009 season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. The University of the Philippines (UP) hosted this season, which coincided with the centennial anniversary of the University's establishment. It opened on July 5, 2008 with an elaborate ceremony held at the Araneta Coliseum.
