Berna Carrasco Araya (Carrasco de Budinich) (19 December 1914 – 7 July 2013) was a Chilean chess master, born in San Bernardo, Chile. ''El Gráfico'' is an Argentine online sports magazine, originally published by Editorial Atlántida as a print publication between 1919 and 2018. ''El Gráfico'' was released in May 1919 as a weekly newspaper, and then turned to a sports magazine exclusively. It began to be scheduled monthly from 2002, and was discontinued in 2018, continuing only online. The magazine was nicknamed ''La Biblia del deporte'' ("The Bible of sports") due to its chronicles, notable journalists and collaborators and its photographies. Vera Menchik
Vera Francevna Mencikova (russian: Вера Францевна Менчик, ''Vera Frantsevna Menchik''; cz, Věra Menčíková; 16 February 1906 – 26 June 1944), was a Russian-born Czechoslovak chess player who primarily resided in England. She was the first Women's World Chess Champion from 1927 to 1944 and the longest-reigning women's champion in history. Her eight world championship wins are the most of all time, and only Emanuel Lasker had a longer reign as world champion. Menchik was born in Moscow to a Czech father and half-English mother.
