Berkeley All Blues
The Berkeley All Blues are a women's rugby union club based in Berkeley, California. They were founded in 1978 and are founding members of the Women's Premier League Rugby. They field three teams throughout the year, in the WPL, Division II, and in Sevens. The All Blues have won a total of 16 National Championships, they include the 2011 and 2012 Women's Premier League Championships and the 2011 and 2013 Women's Club 7s National Championships. Berkeley ( ) is a city on the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay in northern Alameda County, California, United States. It is named after the 18th-century Irish bishop and philosopher George Berkeley. Women's Premier League Rugby
The USA Rugby Women's Premier League (WPL or WPL Rugby) is the top annual American women's rugby union competition. It is player-run and operates in partnership with USA Rugby. It involves the top 10 clubs in the country. The league was founded in 2009. The League initially began from 8 different Division 1 Women's Sides coming together in 2009. In 2017, the League grew to 10 clubs. In 2023, the League reduced their club numbers to 7. The 2020 Season was canceled on June 1, 2020 due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic. Kathy Flores
Kathleen Flores (February 7, 1955 – October 21, 2021) was an American rugby union player who was the head coach of the U.S. women's national team until January 2011 and the head coach of the Brown women's rugby team. Past coaching tenures include Bay Area Touring Side (BATS) Rugby Club, the SF FOG men and the Berkeley All Blues. She played rugby from 1978 to 1998 for Florida State University, the Berkeley All Blues Women's Rugby Club and U.S. women's national team. She started coaching for the Berkeley All Blues 1998 and had been head coach and administrator for the U.S. women's national team since 2003. She began coaching the women's rugby team at Brown University in the fall of 2013, following the retirement of Kerri Heffernan.
