Karl-Friedrich Beringer
Hans Karl-Friedrich Beringer (born 7 January 1948, in Neuendettelsau) is a German choral and orchestral conductor, who was from 1978 to 2011 the conductor of the Windsbacher Knabenchor. Life Born in Neuendettelsau, Beringer studied at the Meistersinger Conservatory in Nuremberg. In 1970, still a student, he founded the Amadeus Choir and the Amadeus Orchestra. From 1976 to 1978 he was artistic director of the International Festival Youth Choir of Bayreuth. In 1978 he succeeded Hans Thamm as director of the boys' choir Windsbacher Knabenchor and led the ensemble to world fame. Beringer has worked together with renowned orchestras, especially with the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, the Munich Radio Orchestra and the Münchener Kammerorchester. Beringer Vineyards
Beringer Vineyards is a large winery in St. Helena, California. Founded in 1876, Beringer Vineyards is "the oldest continuously operating winery in the Napa Valley", and is listed under both the National Register of Historic Places and as a California Historical Landmark. In 1934 it was the first California winery to offer public tours and wine tasting following the repeal of Prohibition. In 1939, Beringer invited attendees of the Golden Gate International Exposition to visit the winery; the winery also invited Hollywood stars including Clark Gable, Charles Laughton, and Carole Lombard to visit. Rhine House The estate was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001. The property includes 12 buildings, sites, or structures, 10 of which are contributing. Beringer's Lying Stones
Beringer's Lying Stones () are pieces of limestone which were carved into the shape of various fictitious animals and "discovered" in 1725 by Johann Bartholomeus Adam Beringer (1667–1740), Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Würzburg. Beringer believed them to be fossils, and because some of them bore the name of God in Hebrew, suggested that they might be of divine origin. The scientific community at the time was still unsure as to what fossils actually were, the notion that they were the petrified remains of once-living organisms being merely one of several competing hypotheses. Beringer published a book on his findings but shortly after discovered that he had been the victim of a hoax. He took the hoaxers to court and won the case but his reputation was forever besmirched. Joan Beringer
Joan Beringer ( , ; born 11 November 2006) is a French professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Early life Beringer was born on 11 November 2006, in Sélestat, France. He spent the first 10 years of his life in Sélestat before moving to Strasbourg. He played football growing up, and by the summer of 2021 had "never even touched a basketball." However, he said that "At around 14-15 years old, I couldn't find cleats in my size, my feet were too big." After being pressured by friends, he tried out basketball for the first time and enjoyed the sport. He later joined the club Strasbourg Saint-Joseph Basket and played for the U17 team. Sir John Evelyn Beringer (born 14 February 1944) is a British microbiologist and Emeritus Professor at the University of Bristol. He was educated at the University of Edinburgh (BSc, 1970) and the University of East Anglia (PhD, 1973). He was Professor of Molecular Genetics at the University of Bristol from 1984 to 2005, and Pro-Vice-Chancellor from 2001 to 2005.
