Bergmeister
A ''Bergmeister'' ( lat, Magister montium) was a mine manager or foreman in German-speaking Europe who, along with the '' Bergvogt'', was one of the officials serving on a mining court (''Berggericht''). There were ''Bergmeisters'' in every mining district in Germany.
