Berat Köse
Berat Köse (born 26 October 1999) is a Finnish footballer who plays as a midfielder for Kakkonen club Reipas Lahti. Club career Köse debuted in Veikkausliiga for FC Lahti first team in the 2022 season, and scored his first goal in the league, in a 3–1 loss against SJK. He joined Järvenpään Palloseura (JäPS) in second-tier Ykkönen, first on a loan deal in August 2022, and then on a permanent transfer for the 2023 season. Köse returned to his former club Reipas Lahti for the 2024 season. Personal life Born and raised in Finland, Köse is of Turkish descent. He has a dual citizenship of Finland and Turkey. His two older brothers are also footballers: Ibrahim has retired from professional career, and Onuray plays also for Reipas Lahti. Reipas (July 14, 1948 – September 20, 1971) was a successful Finnish harness racing, trotter. He was a Finnhorse gelding, and the first Finnish horse to earn over one million Finnish Mark, marks in one season. Reipas was the best earning trotter in Finland through 1958–1960, and his earnings each season exceeded one million Marks, corresponding roughly to EUR 20,000. He was owned and mostly driven by Aapeli Miettinen. Reipas competed in 1952–1965, winning 348 of his approximately 1300 heats. His greatest win count in one season was 62. Being a gelding, Reipas never had offspring. His statue has been erected in the town centre of his home, Varpaisjärvi. Kakkonen or II divisioona is the fourth level in the league system of Finnish football and comprises 36 Finnish football teams. Until the end of 2023, ''Kakkonen'' was the third-highest level in Finland, but after the creation of new second-tier Ykkösliiga, Kakkonen also dropped down one level in the league pyramid.
