Benjamin Tardivel
Benjamin Tardivel (born 3 December 1987) is a Tahitian international footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Tahitian club A.S. Dragon. He made his debut for Tahiti at the 2019 Pacific Games, replacing Teave Teamotuaitau at halftime of a 7–0 victory against Tuvalu. Tardivel had previously been called up for two friendlies against New Caledonia in 2018, but did not appear in either match. Tardivel was in the A.S. The Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) is one of the six continental confederations of international association football. The OFC has 13 members, 11 of which are full members and two which are associate members not affiliated with FIFA. It promotes the game in Oceania and allows the member nations to qualify for the FIFA World Cup. OFC is predominantly made up of island nations where association football is not the most popular sport, with low GDP and low population meaning very little money is generated by the OFC nations. The 2018 OFC Champions League group stage was played from 10 February to 3 March 2018. A total of 16 teams competed in the group stage to decide the eight places in the knockout stage of the 2018 OFC Champions League.
