Benjamin Angus Wright
Benjamin Angus Wright is an English award-winning media composer based in London, England. He has composed for the BBC, Discovery, Destination Films and many other major clients. In 2009 he won 'Best Music' at the prestigious Missoula International Wildlife Film Festival for his score to Mike Birkhead's ''Amba, the Russian Tiger''. His company is called 'Compose to Picture'. Before working in television and film, Wright wrote for the band "Obaben" (Human Condition Records) and "Delay 68" to critical acclaim in the Scottish press. International Wildlife Film Festival
The International Wildlife Film Festival is a film festival held annually at the Roxy Theater in Missoula, Montana. The International Wildlife Film Festival was "the first regular ongoing festival devoted solely to wildlife films" and this "signaled that wildlife films had arrived as a motion picture genre distinct from others". It is a juried event that lasts eight days and "involves the world's top wildlife filmmakers, producers, scientists and conservation leaders", and up to 12,000 people attend. The festival, which was "founded by internationally known bear biologist Dr. Charles Jonkel in 1977, recognizes scientific accuracy, artistic appeal, and technical excellence". Destination Films is a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment currently specializing in action, thriller, niche sci-fi and low-end to medium-end horror films. History The original Destination Films was founded by Brent Baum and Steve Stabler in 1998.
