Joe Benitez (born May 21, 1971) is an American comic book artist. He is co-creator and penciller of '' Weapon Zero'', published by Top Cow Productions. A cartoonist is a visual artist who specializes in both drawing and writing cartoons (individual images) or comics (sequential images). Wraithborn
''Wraithborn'' is an American comic book limited series by Joe Benitez and Marcia Chen, launched in November 2005. It is his largest body of work after his time as regular penciler on Top Cow's '' The Darkness''. ''Wraithborn'' was published by WildStorm under its Wildstorm Signature imprint, which replaced the Cliffhanger imprint. Story The Wraithborn power is normally given to a specially chosen warrior, someone who has trained for decades to wield the power and fight the Immortals. Due to "unforeseen circumstances", the power is passed on to an ordinary high school girl who doesn't know anything about what's going on, but she's got to figure things out fast because a lot of "people" (including the Immortals) are coming after her. Aspen Comics (Aspen MLT Inc.) is a California entertainment company founded in 2003 by artist Michael Turner. It has locations in Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey. The company is best known for producing comic books and figurines. History The company was founded by comic book artist Michael Turner in January 2003. The name "Aspen" comes from the main character in Turner's comic series, ''Fathom''. Aspen Comics released the fantasy adventure '' Soulfire'' in 2004, its first ongoing series. 2005 marked the return of ''Fathom'' (originally published by Image Comics), with comic artist Koi Turnbull taking over the illustration of the title. Lady Mechanika is a steampunk comic created by comic artist Joe Benitez. History of the series The ''Lady Mechanika'', a comic series in the steampunk Steampunk is a subgenre of science fiction that incorporates retrofuturistic technology and Applied arts, aesthetics inspired by, but not limited to, 19th-century Industrial Revolution, industrial steam engine, steam-powered machinery. Steampun ... genre, was originally planned as a six-part story. Lady Mechanika's look was inspired by steampunk fashion icon Kato. Soulfire (comics)
''Soulfire'' is a comic book produced by Aspen MLT that is one in a line of titles created by Michael Turner. The original characters were created between 2000 and 2002 with ''Soulfire'' (originally named ''Dragonfly'') set to be produced under Top Cow, although that never came to be. Only when Michael Turner started his company, Aspen MLT, did the comic begin production in April 2003. Publication history The ''Soulfire'' 'preview' issue was first printed in '' Wizard'' magazine #139 in March 2003. The preview introduced the two central protagonists of the story, Malikai and Grace. Teen Titans
The Teen Titans are a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, frequently in eponymous monthly series. As the group's name indicates, the members are teenage superheroes, many of whom have acted as sidekicks to DC's premier superheroes in the Justice League.
