Benguet Provincial Board
The Benguet Provincial Board is the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial legislature) of the Philippine province of Benguet. The members are elected via plurality-at-large voting: the province is divided into two districts, the first sending four and the second sending six members. The number of members the electorate votes for and the number of members elected depends on the number of members the district sends. The vice governor is the ''ex officio'' Chairman, presiding officer, and only Casting vote, votes to break ties. The vice governor is elected via the plurality voting system province-wide. Association Of Barangay Captains
The Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas (League of Barangays in the Philippines) and the Asosasyon ng mga Kapitan ng Barangay (Association of Barangay Captains) or ABC are formal organizations of all the barangays in the Philippines. Presently, almost 42,000 barangays are part of this organization, making it the association of Philippine local government units with the largest membership. The Kabalikat ng Malayang Pilipino (KAMPI), formerly known as the Kabalikat ng Mamamayang Pilipino, was a political party in the Philippines. It is the main party of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. In June 2008, Kampi merged into the Lakas–CMD. History KAMPI was formed during the run up to the 1998 presidential elections as the vehicle for then Senator Arroyo's presidential campaign, after she defected from the Laban ng Demokratikong Pilipino, the party she had been with since she was first elected in 1995. Vicente Sotto III was picked to be her running mate. Before the filing of candidacies, she decided to be the running mate of then Lakas-NUCD-UMDP presidential hopeful Jose de Venecia. The National Unity Party (NUP) is a political party in the Philippines. The party was formed in 2010 by former members of Lakas-Kampi CMD who broke away after internal discontent within the party. Since 2016, the party is part of the PDP–Laban-led coalition in the House of Representatives, the Coalition for Change. Lakas–Christian Muslim Democrats (), abbreviated as Lakas–CMD and popularly known as Lakas, was a political party in the Philippines. Its ideology and that of its successor is heavily influenced by Christian and Islamic democracy. The party's influence on Philippine society is very strong, especially after the People Power Revolution, which has led the country to elect two presidents from the party, namely Fidel V.
