Bengt Calmeyer (journalist)
Bengt Calmeyer (born 3 October 1932) is a Norwegian journalist and novelist. He was born in Oslo, and is a brother of actor Joachim Calmeyer. Oslo
Oslo ( , , or ; sma, Oslove) is the capital and most populous city of Norway. It constitutes both a county and a municipality. The municipality of Oslo had a population of in 2022, while the city's greater urban area had a population of in 2019, and the metropolitan area had an estimated population of in 2021. Joachim Calmeyer
Kåre Joachim Calmeyer (23 June 1931 – 26 December 2016) was a Norwegian actor. He was born in Oslo, and grew up in Horten and Tromsø. He was the brother of jazz musician Ola and journalist Bengt Calmeyer. He made his stage debut at Rogaland Teater in 1953 in the opera ''Don Pasquale''. He was employed at Rogaland Teater from 1956 to 1960, at Det Norske Teatret from 1960 to 1964, Nationaltheatret from 1964 to 1972, Den Nationale Scene from 1972 to 1978 and then in Nationaltheatret. He has also appeared in Fjernsynsteatret, and played in '' Før frostnettene'' (1966), '' Lars i porten'' (1984), '' Sigurd Drakedreper'' (1989), ''Vestavind'' (1994) and the main role in '' Kitchen Stories'' (2003). Ola Calmeyer
Ola Mathias Calmeyer (14 April 1930 in Oslo - 5 June 2003) was a Norwegian jazz pianist. He was the brother of the actor Joachim Calmeyer and the author Bengt Calmeyer, and known from a number of collaborations and album releases. Biography After growing up in Horten, he was part of the Oslo jazz scene (1949–53), was in U.S. (1953–63), and performed in Vestfold (1963–75), where he established Urijazz in Tønsberg among other things. After moving to Oslo and becoming a central part of the jazz scene there (1975–1990) he performed with the house orchestra at Club 7, Winds Hot & Cool, as well as bands led by Brinck Johnsen, Alf Kjellman Ditlef Eckhoff, Paul Weeden, Odd Riisnæs, and Carl Magnus Neumann. ''Dagsavisen'' is a daily newspaper published in Oslo, Norway. The former party organ of the Norwegian Labour Party, the ties loosened over time from 1975 to 1999. It has borne several names, and was called ''Arbeiderbladet'' from 1923 to 1997. Eirik Hoff Lysholm is editor-in-chief. The newspaper depends on economic support from the Norwegian Government. History ''Dagsavisen'' was established by Christian Holtermann Knudsen in 1884 under the name ''Vort Arbeide'' ('Our Work' in archaic Riksmål), and was affiliated with the trade union center ''Fagforeningernes Centralkomité''. Holtermann Knudsen also had to establish his own printing press since the existing printing presses did not want to be affiliated with a labourer's newspaper. The fledgling project was marred by economic problems, and the burden of writing, editing, and printing lay chiefly on Knudsen.
