Benedicta Boccoli (born 11 November 1966) is an Italian theater and movie actress. Biography Born in Milan on 11 November 1966 she moved to Rome with her family as a child. Her sister Brigitta is an actress, as well. She has also two brothers: Barnaby and Filippo. Known as an eclectic and versatile actress, she had her debut in television at a very early age (18 years). A few years later, she discovered that working in theater was where she truly belonged as an actress. Actor and director Giorgio Albertazzi nicknamed her the ''Artistissima'' (the ''uber artist'') because of her outstanding performances. Paola Gassman (29 June 1945 – 9 April 2024) was an Italian actress. Biography Through her mother, Nora Ricci, Paola Gassman was a fifth generation actor, as Ricci was the daughter of actors Renzo Ricci and Margherita Bagni. Abe Burrows (born Abram Solman Borowitz; December 18, 1910 – May 17, 1985) was an American humorist, author, and director for radio and the stage. He won a Tony Award and was selected for two Pulitzer Prizes, only one of which was awarded. ''Can-Can'' is a musical with music and lyrics by Cole Porter, and a book by Abe Burrows. The story concerns the showgirls of the Montmartre dance halls during the 1890s. The original Broadway production ran for over two years beginning in 1953, and the 1954 West End production was also a success. Gwen Verdon, in only her second Broadway role, and choreographer Michael Kidd won Tony Awards and were praised, but both the score and book received tepid reviews, and revivals generally have not fared well.
