Benedek Éles (born 6 September 1999) is a Hungarian handball player who plays for MOL Tatabánya KC. Career Club Benedek started his career in MKB-MVM Veszprém, the top Hungarian club. From there he transferred to Veszprém KKFT Felsőörs, another Veszprém team founded by his father, József Éles. With Veszprém KKFT Felsőörs, he was promoted to the Hungarian first-class championship in 2020. In 2022, the team reached the final of the Hungarian Cup, but were defeated there by Telekom Veszprém. Benedek scored 4 goals in the final. Thanks to the silver medal, they were able to start in the 2022–23 EHF European League. Benedek scored 63 goals in 10 matches in the EHF European League group stage. Thanks to this, the European Handball Federation (IHF) selected Benedek as the Top 3 best rookie of the EHF European League. 2022 European Men's Handball Championship
The 2022 European Handball Federation, EHF European Men's Handball Championship was the 15th edition of the tournament and the second to feature 24 national teams. It was co-hosted in two countries – Hungary and Slovakia – from 13 to 30 January 2022. It was won by Sweden; the first time in 20 years they won the title. Magyar Kupa (men's Handball)
Magyar Kupa (English: Hungarian Cup) is the main domestic cup for Hungarian men's team handball clubs, which is organized and supervised by the Hungarian Handball Federation. The competition is held annually, starting in September and concluding in April. The teams play in a one-leg knockout system with a final four tournament in the end. The winner of the Hungarian cup get the right to participate in the next year's EHF Cup Winners' Cup, unless they secure a place in the EHF Champions League.
