Bärbel Bendiks
Bärbel Bendiks is a rower who competed for East Germany in the 1970s and early 1980s. Bendiks rowed for SC Berlin-Grünau. At the 1976 East German national championships, Bendiks rowed with the coxed pair and the women's eight; she came first and second, respectively. However, that year women's rowing was introduced at the Rowing at the 1976 Summer Olympics, Olympic Games and the East Germany at the 1976 Summer Olympics, Olympic team members did not participate at the national championships. At the 1977 East German national championships, Bendiks won the coxed four title alongside Marion Rohs, Katja Rothe, Ilona Richter, and coxswain Marina Wilke. That team went to the 1977 World Rowing Championships on the Bosbaan rowing lake in the Netherlands where they became world champions. In February 1978, she was given two sports awards: Master of Sport and Honoured Master of Sports. Mirjam Jacobson
Mirjam Jacobson (14 July 1887 – 8 February 1945) was a Dutch painter. Biography Jacobson was born on 14 July 1887 in Amsterdam. She studied at the ' (National School for Arts and Crafts Amsterdam) and the ''Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten'' (State Academy of Fine Arts). Her teachers included , Johannes Hendricus Jurres, Simon Maris, , and Hendrik Jan Wolter. In 1919 she exhibited her work at the ''Jaarbeurs voor kunstnijverheid'' (Trade fair for arts and crafts). In 1932 she married Izzac Cohen Bendiks. Jacobson's work was included in the 1939 exhibition and sale ''Onze Kunst van Heden'' (Our Art of Today) at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
