Ben Unger
Benjamin 'Ben' Unger (born March 4, 1976, in Cornelius, Oregon) is an American politician and a Democratic member of the Oregon House of Representatives representing District 29 from 2013 to 2015. He stands at over 6'7". Early life Unger was born on March 4, 1976, in Cornelius, Oregon, and was raised on a farm south of the city. After graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1994, Unger earned his BA degree in English from the University of Oregon. Prior to entering politics, he worked as a special assistant to the Oregon Attorney General. Political career In 2012, Unger won the District 29 Democratic Primary with 65.2% of the vote against Katie Riley. He won the November 6 General election with 11,312 votes (53.5%) against Republican nominee Katie Eyre. Oregon Legislative Assembly
The Oregon Legislative Assembly is the state legislature for the U.S. state of Oregon. The Legislative Assembly is bicameral, consisting of an upper and lower house: the Senate, whose 30 members are elected to serve four-year terms; and the House of Representatives, with 60 members elected to two-year terms. There are no term limits for either house in the Legislative Assembly. Each Senate district is composed of exactly two House districts: Senate District 1 contains House Districts 1 and 2, SD 2 contains HD 3 and HD 4, and so on. Katie Eyre
Katie Eyre Brewer is an American politician and accountant in Oregon. She was elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in November 2010 for House District 29, succeeding Democratic Representative Chuck Riley. She lost to Ben Unger in the 2012 general election. Now known as Katie Eyre, she serves on the Hillsboro Planning Commission. Early life Katie Eyre attended high school in Milford, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Delaware Valley High School. District 29 of the Oregon House of Representatives is one of 60 House legislative districts in the state of Oregon. As of 2021, the district is contained entirely within Washington County and contains Forest Grove and Cornelius as well as most of Hillsboro. The 2012 elections for the Oregon Legislative Assembly determined the composition of both houses for the 77th Oregon Legislative Assembly. The Republican and Democratic primary elections were on May 15, 2012, and the general election was on November 6, 2012. Metro is the regional government for the Oregon portion of the Portland metropolitan area, covering portions of Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties.
