Ben Putnam
Ben Putnam (January 15, 1886 – 1956) was an American-born farmer and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Humboldt from 1944 to 1948 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) member. He was born in Laurel, Iowa, the son of George Putnam and Emma Lukehart, was educated at the Iowa State College of Agriculture and came to Canada in 1911. In the same year, he married Grace Ward. The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan () is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the lieutenant governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King of Canada. The assembly meets at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina. There are 61 constituencies in the province, which elect members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs). Watson is a town of 777 residents in the Rural Municipality of Lakeside No. 338, in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. Watson is located on the intersection of Highway 5 and Highway 6, the Canam Highway. Arnold William Loehr
Arnold William Loehr (March 26, 1886 – September 30, 1963) was a farmer and politician in Saskatchewan. He represented Humboldt from 1948 to 1952 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Liberal. He was born in Spring Hill, Minnesota, the son of John Loehr and Katherine Spanier. His grandfather Johann and family were pioneers in the Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, area as early as 1841 before also later becoming some of the earliest settlers in Stearns County, Minnesota, in the early 1850s. His father, John, was born in St. Joseph, Minnesota, in 1855. The Loehr family filed a homestead in Canada in 1904 in the new settlement of St. Peter's Colony. The community would later be incorporated as the village of Muenster, Saskatchewan in 1908. In 1909, Arnold married Agnes Heinen.
