''Ben et Thomas'' is a French TV series created by Mike Horelick and Jon Carnoy that first aired on May 31, 2008 on France 4. Synopsis Ben Rosenberg and Thomas Verne are two high school friends into skateboarding. One is a geek, the other is more down-to-earth, but they make a great pair. However, their friendship is tested when Liselott, a beautiful blond-haired person, arrives at school. The series revolves around these teenagers and their family, school, and love life. Jon Carnoy
Jonathan Jerzy Carnoy is an American writer and Film director, director currently living and working in France. Growing up in Menlo Park, California, he started working seriously in film while attending Colorado College, where he made several short comedic films. Following graduation, he worked in Hollywood as a camera assistant and production assistant on music videos, films and commercials including a stint on Twin Peaks, as production driver. He then attended New York University, NYU Graduate Film Program where he wrote and directed the award-winning short Dinner with Malibu. He completed his graduate work at the La Femis, FEMIS Film School in Paris, France where he wrote and directed more award-winning short films. Since then Jon Carnoy went on to direct feature films back in the USA, as well as successful TV series both in the USA and in France. Skateboard
A skateboard is a type of sports equipment used for skateboarding. It is usually made of a specially designed 7–8-ply maple plywood deck and has polyurethane wheels attached to the underside by a pair of skateboarding trucks. The skateboard moves by pushing with one foot while the other foot remains balanced on the board, or by Pump (skateboarding), pumping one's legs in structures such as a bowl or half pipe. A skateboard can also be used by standing on the deck while on a downward slope and allowing gravity to propel the board and the rider. If the rider's leading foot is their left foot, they are said to ride "regular". Conversely, they are said to ride "goofy" if their leading foot is their right foot. Nelson Monfort (born March 12, 1953) is a French sports journalist, linguist and television host. TV and radio career After his studies at the Paris Institute of Political Studies, Monfort began his career as a sports journalist by commenting figure skating events.
