Ben DeLuzio
Benjamin Amadeo DeLuzio (born August 9, 1994) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the Chicago Cubs organization. He made his Major League Baseball debut with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2022. Amateur career DeLuzio was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but grew up in Orlando, Florida, where he attended The First Academy and played football and baseball. As a senior in 2013, he hit .424 with 21 RBIs. He was selected by the Miami Marlins in the third round of the 2013 Major League Baseball draft, but did not sign and instead enrolled at Florida State University to play college baseball for the Florida State Seminoles. The Florida State Seminoles baseball team represents Florida State University (variously Florida State or FSU) in the sport of college baseball. Florida State competes in NCAA Division I, and the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Memphis Redbirds
The Memphis Redbirds are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. They are located in Memphis, Tennessee, and are named for their Major League Baseball affiliate. Reno Aces
The Reno Aces are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. They are located in Reno, Nevada, and play their home games at Greater Nevada Field, which opened in 2009. Triple-A (baseball)
Triple-A (officially Class AAA) has been the highest level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States since 1946. Currently, two leagues operate at the Triple-A level, the International League (IL) and the Pacific Coast League (PCL). There are 30 teams, one per each Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise, with 20 in the IL and 10 in the PCL. Triple-A teams are generally located in smaller cities as well as larger metropolitan areas without MLB teams, such as Austin, Jacksonville, Columbus, and Indianapolis. Four Triple-A teams play in the same metro areas as their parent clubs, those being the Gwinnett Stripers, St. Paul Saints, Sugar Land Space Cowboys and Tacoma Rainiers.
