Ben Bulatao
Ben Bulatao, ACE, is a Filipino-American film/television editor. He is best known for his work on ''Deadliest Catch'', ''Coal'', ''Orlando Bloom: To the Edge'', and ''Dancing with the Stars''. Bulatao's work on the Discovery Channel's docuseries, ''Deadliest Catch'', has been nominated six times for the Primetime Emmy Award. Life and career Benjamin Pascua Bulatao was born in Milton, Florida to Filipino immigrant parents. His father, Arsenio Bulatao was in the United States Navy. His mother, Linda Pascua was a registered nurse. Bulatao graduated from Carson High School in Carson, California. He earned a B.S. in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine. Founded in 1950, American Cinema Editors (ACE) is an honorary society of film editors that are voted in based on the qualities of professional achievements, their education of others, and their dedication to editing. Members use the post-nominal letters "ACE". The organization's "Eddie Awards" are routinely covered in trade magazines such as '' The Hollywood Reporter'' and '' Variety''. ''Flying Wild Alaska'' is a documentary television series that aired on Discovery Channel in 2011 and 2012.
