Beltola is a prime residential area in the southern part of Guwahati, Assam. It is an adjoining area of the Dispur Capital Complex, the capital of Assam. The area has seen rapid growth since the 1980s and its southern periphery is today extended up to the National Highway-27 (NH-27) in the extreme south of the city. It covers an area of about 2.53 km2 or 27,221,804.44 ft². Beltola Bazar, located in the central part of Beltola, is a bi-weekly market for fruits and vegetables with historical significance. The market dates back to the period of Ahom rule and serves as a traditional trading point between the people of the Garo and Khasi hills (Meghalaya) and the local community. Ganeshguri is a locality in Guwahati, Assam, India, and is named after lord Ganesha, Ganesh. There was a Heramba kingdom. Borphukan
Borphukan (Ahom language: ''Phu-Kan-Lung'') was one of the five (councillors) in the Ahom kingdom, a position that was created by the Ahom king Prataap Singha. The position included both executive and judicial powers, with jurisdiction of the Ahom kingdom west of Kaliabor river. The headquarters of Borphukan was based in Kaliabor and after the Battle of Itakhuli in 1681 in Itakhuli in Guwahati. This position was particularly important and powerful because of its distance from the Ahom capital, giving it a semblance of independence. Bhetapara is a fast-growing mixed residential and commercial area of Guwahati city in Kamrup Metropolitan district in Assam state in India. Hengrabari is a district in the capital city of Guwahati of Assam, a state on the north-east of India. Densely populated, Hengrabari resembles the character of a small town in the heart of Guwahati. Narengi
Narengi (Pron: nʌˈreŋgɪ or næˈreŋgɪ) is a locality in Guwahati. Situated in the extreme east of the city, it has a sparse population. Mayong (Assam)
Mayong (or Mayang) is a village in Morigaon district, Assam, India. It lies on the bank of the river Brahmaputra, approximately from the city of Guwahati. Mayong is a tourist attraction because of its history. Etymology The origin of the name may be based in the Chutia/Tiwa/ Deori word ''Ma-yong'' which means ''mother'', the Kachari word for an elephant (''Miyong''), and ''ongo'' meaning ''part''.
