Alexander Bellos (born 1969) is a British writer, broadcaster and mathematics communicator.Alex Bellos He is the author of books about Brazil and mathematics, as well as having a column in ''The Guardian'' newspaper. Education and early life Alex Bellos was born in Oxford and grew up in Edinburgh and Southampton. He was educated at Hampton Park Comprehensive School and Richard Taunton Sixth Form College in Southampton. He went on to study mathematics and philosophy at Corpus Christi College, Oxford, where he was the editor of the student paper ''Cherwell''. Career Bellos's first job was working for '' The Argus'' in Brighton before moving to ''The Guardian'' in London in 1994. From 1998 to 2003 he was South America correspondent of ''The Guardian'', and wrote ''Futebol: the Brazilian Way of Life''. Linda Bellos
Linda Ann Bellos (born 13 December 1950) is a British businesswoman, radical feminist and gay-rights activist. In 1981 she became the first woman of African descent to join the ''Spare Rib'' collective. She was elected to Lambeth Borough Council in London in 1985 and was the leader of the council from 1986 to 1988. Early life Bellos was born in London to a white Polish Jewish mother, Renee Sackman, and a Nigerian, Yoruba father, Emmanuel Adebowale, who came from Uzebba and had joined the merchant navy during the Second World War. Renee Sackman was disowned by her family for marrying an African Christian. Raised in Brixton, Bellos was educated at Silverthorne Girls' Secondary Modern School, Dick Sheppard Comprehensive School, and the University of Sussex (1978–81). Andre Bellos (born August 13, 1987) is an American actor, singer and dancer who has appeared in the Spike Lee film ''Chi-Raq'' and Lee Daniels' television series ''Empire''. In 2009 he signed a digital distribution deal with Nimbit music and five years later with Georgia-based model/talent agency Babes'n'Beaus.
