Jan Juc () is a suburb of Torquay, Victoria in Australia. At the 2016 census, Jan Juc had a population of 3,683. History Nearby Bellbrae was originally called Jan Juc but was renamed in 1923, so the Jan Juc Post Office, which opened on 25 January 1862, was in fact in Bellbrae. There has never been a post office in the current Jan Juc. As of , housing estates almost link Jan Juc to adjacent Torquay, across the Spring Creek. Paraparap, Victoria
Paraparap is a locality in the Surf Coast Shire, Victoria, Australia. At the 2016 census, Paraparap had a population of 151 people. The Paraparap Parish was made available for sale in the 1850s, but was much less successful than other sales in the region, with slightly more than half of the lots being sold in the initial sales. The remaining lots were sold gradually over the subsequent decades, with some not being sold until the early twentieth century. Paraparap was first listed as an address in the 1890-91 directory. The area had a local progress association, the Paraparap and Pettavel Farmers' Progress Association, from March 1909. Bells Beach
Bells Beach is a locality in Surf Coast Shire, Victoria, Australia. It is a popular surf beach, located 100 km south-west of Melbourne, on the Great Ocean Road near the towns of Torquay and Jan Juc. It is named after William Bell, a Geelong businessman and grazier, who owned much of the property there from the 1840s. Many records wrongly accredit the location's name to John Calvert Bell of the family that took up a pastoral run there much later in 1905 and built the 'Addiscot' homestead. John Calvert Bell was, before that time, a resident at Calder Park, Mount Duneed, and not related to William Bell of Bells Beach. The beach and coastal reserve are listed on the Victorian Heritage Register. Division Of Corangamite
The Division of Corangamite () is an Australian electoral division in the state of Victoria. The division was proclaimed in 1900, and was one of the original 65 divisions to be contested at the first federal election. It is named for Lake Corangamite, although the lake no longer falls within the division's boundaries. The division was redrawn in 2021 and 2024, becoming a much smaller seat due to increased population growth. Freshwater Creek is a town in the Surf Coast Shire, Victoria, Australia. In the 2016 census, Freshwater Creek had a population of 414 people. The town comprises farming and rural properties, with a small township around the intersection of the Anglesea Road and Dickins Road, where there is a service station, a few shops and a cafe. The volunteer Country Fire Authority (CFA) building is in Dickins Road. Alongside is the Community Hall, tennis courts, BBQ, public toilets and playground. Torquay ( ) is a town in Surf Coast Shire, Victoria, Australia, which faces Bass Strait, 21 km south of Geelong and is the gateway to the Great Ocean Road. Anglesea is a town in Victoria, Australia. It is located on the Great Ocean Road in the Surf Coast Shire local government area. In the , Anglesea had a population of 2,545 people. Originally known as Swampy Creek, the area's name was changed to Anglesea River in 1884 when the township was established. Great Ocean Road
The Great Ocean Road is an Australian National Heritage-listed stretch of road along the south-eastern coast of Australia, between the Victorian towns of Torquay and Allansford.
